13 Moons Yoga Retreat Simple fresh foods harvested from the farm will offer our bodies a time of cleansing and rejuvenation. Lovingly and thoughtfully prepared by our retreat chefs, brunch and dinner will be served over Saturday and Sunday with ample snacks and tea available throughout the day and evening. Join certified yoga teachers Carly Meissner and Brandi Borsten for an interactive weekend of Hatha yoga. No previous yoga experience is necessary and all are welcome. Emphasis is placed on tuning into the quality of your breath and recognizing where you and your body are in the present moment. Dynamic movement through yoga and live drumming are offered to compliment this self-exploration. Throughout our weekend there are ample opportunities for choosing your own adventure. Whether it be a nap or swim down by the ponds, to walking in the gardens or forested trails or receiving therapeutic massage from Registered Massage Therapist, Nadia Kinderman or a restorative flower facial from Sigrid Geddes, founder of Sigrid Natural Skin Care. Massage Therapy: 40 minute session, $30 Flower Facial: 30 minutes, $30 When you register, please reserve your spot for a massage and/or facial as there are only four time slots available. $260 per person Putting the Garden to Rest Half Moon Farm and its extensive gardens will be our playground for the weekend as we learn and explore by digging our hands into the earth. Educational workshops will provide organic and sustainable gardening techniques for building rich and balanced soil. We learn these techniques through composting, mulching, and preparing the garden beds for winter. At Half Moon Farm learn the straw bale bin method of composting where organic matter is layered for breakdown. Hay mulch and sheep manure are added to the garden and left over plant mass from the summer season is removed. Also included in the weekend will be seed saving techniques and tips for winter food storage. Harvesting garden veggies and wild fresh edibles for meal preparation will be shared by the group, as we learn new ways to cook simple healthy foods. $260 per person
